Sandblast Operator

Volt is immediately hiring for a Sandblast Operator in Gardena, California .
As a Sandblast Operator you will:

• Sandblasting and glass beading bolds with a blast machine
• Standing for a given 8-9hr shift
• The Sand Blast Operator removes markings from metal and other surfaces for repairs
• Operates Sand Blast machinery
• Maintains hoses and nozzles, and cleans oils, adjusts, and makes minor repairs to sandblast machines and printable air compressors
• Performs clean-up of glass and sand media, and general organization of work area

This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
• The ability to read and write English/Spanish
• An introductory competence in shop math such as working with fractions and decimals.
• A basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
• A basic knowledge of machine tools.
• The ability to interpret written instruction on shop travelers.
• Capable of setting up and running parts as required.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift, possible Saturdays 6am-2:30pm
Pay Rate : $16/hr.
