Position Summary
As a member of the Global Rewards Team, the Senior Benefits Analyst will contribute to the administration, communication, development and implementation of benefit programs, including health and welfare, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans in North America, and as needed for global initiatives, supporting the Senior Manager, Benefits and other Global Rewards Team members. The Senior Benefits Analyst must be agile, detail oriented, able to work independently, and manage critical processes and timelines in the delivery of our benefit programs.
Accountabilities
• Support significant benefits initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Leave administration (including vendor management, payment coordination, policy and procedure inquiries).
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis of program utilization.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to resolve issues and ensure benefit programs are administered in accordance with plan provisions.
• Reviews and provides recommendations for improvements to processes, procedures, policies, plans (i.e., leaves of absence, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, costs and pension/401k).
• Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws related to benefits including all required reporting, filings, testing, audits, and communications.
• Responsible for benefits billing, funding, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with the Service Center, HR and vendors for escalations regarding benefits, appeals and policy inquiries.
• Support company initiatives, such as acquisitions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in US health and welfare plans, retirement plans.
• Strong knowledge of benefit plan administration, and ability to monitor compliance related to ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ACA, IRS rules and other government/regulatory requirements.
• Experience with leave administration and payment coordination, including state mandated paid leave programs.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources, including HR, IT, Payroll, Legal, Finance, TPAs, Consultants, Recordkeepers, Vendors and Government Agencies.
• A self-starter with initiative and strong customer/client orientation and communication skills; ability to facilitate discussions to resolve issues, obtain consensus and drive to conclusion.
• Experience researching and resolving vendor integration file and data issues.
• Ability to work independently; ability to balance day to day tasks with project work.
• Experience supporting small to medium sized projects and/or key workstreams within larger projects.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment; sense of urgency.
• Exercise sound judgment and retain the highest degree of confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong business acumen; possess professional maturity and curiosity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with HRIS and Benefit Administration systems.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience with non-US Plan preferred but not required.
• Experience with HR Systems, including SuccessFactors, UKG Payroll and bswift preferred but not required.
• Experience with Global Mobility, including coordinating domestic and international relocations, and nce with non-US Plan preferred but not required.
Work Environment
• May require occasional travel, approx. 10%
• Hybrid work environment, flexible schedule
• Full time, hours as required
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
