Position Purpose & Goal:

Our Senior Medical Assistant Supervisor exists to oversee patient care coordination, optimizing efficiencies in the exam room, provider suite, and MA hub by operating with a fully trained team. They provide guidance and training to all medical assistants, ensuring high-quality care while adhering to clinical standards throughout Ganger Dermatology, contributing to the success of the practice by implementing the #1 Team approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead hands-on training programs to streamline MA workflow and ensure staff are properly trained to work independently within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with business partners on hiring, promotion, review, and termination of staff to maintain an efficient team.
  • Ensure proper staff scheduling rules for uninterrupted clinic coverage and optimal patient flow.
  • Conduct quarterly conversations with MAs, addressing escalations urgently and resolving conflicts.
  • Review Mission and Values with staff to uphold clinic standards and resolve conflicts.
  • Manage special projects and represent the clinical team at L10 meetings for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct Clinic Leads L10 meetings to communicate different office needs and problem solve as a clinical team.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff to maintain a fully trained team.
  • Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure seamless patient flow in waiting rooms and exam rooms.
  • Recognize and respond to urgent/emergent situations following protocols, ensuring patient safety.
  • Address patient questions and alleviate anxieties when necessary to maintain optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to patient, employee, and clinic confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA) to maintain privacy.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide clinic coverage as needed to support clinic operations.

Job Type:

  • Full-Time: 4-5 days per week
  • Day shift: 8-10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, and occasional Saturdays and evenings
  • Travel to all offices weekly is required

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 3-5 years experience in Dermatology (required) 
  • EMA EHR system experience is a plus
  • MA certification (preferred)
  • 1 year Medical Office Management (preferred)

Please note : Saturday availability is also required. Work expectation is 40 hr/week with paid overtime as needed. This is a full time position and we are not offering seasonal employment at this time.
