Come join our team in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment (OAR) within the Division of Enrollment Management at UW-Madison! We are admissions professionals dedicated to recruiting, admitting, and enrolling the next generation of UW-Madison undergraduates. UW-Madison is strongly committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive community for people from every background. To support this commitment, OAR seeks a Senior Manager for Multicultural Recruitment to coordinate and support institutional efforts to grow undergraduate applications from students with historically underrepresented backgrounds, including students of color, low-income, first-generation, and students from rural backgrounds in Wisconsin and across the country. The manager works to increase the visibility of UW-Madison in multicultural communities through the development and implementation of programs and supervising two to three Recruitment Coordinators. Required:
-Demonstrated knowledge of college admissions, including holistic application review, territory management, and/or financial aid processes
-Demonstrated cultural competence through active listening, seeking understanding of diverse perspectives, and/or respecting lived cultural experiences
-Evening and weekend in-person and virtual work as well as limited travel required during peak times Highly qualified candidates may possess the following:
-Knowledge of trends in higher education, pre-college programs, or college access organizations
-Strategic ability and decision-making skills, including the ability to support the development and implementation of a roadmap for planning and carrying out a vision, teamwork and communication across functional areas, providing feedback, conflict resolution, and/or the ability to influence
-Experience attracting, recruiting, and enrolling undergraduate students/families from backgrounds underrepresented in higher education, preferably in a selective, high-volume admissions office at a four-year institution
-Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, collaboration, and public speaking skills
-Ability to encourage creativity and innovation, cultivate trust, and instill strong team dynamics within a team, including active listening, communicating shared values, goals and objectives, empowering team members in decision-making, taking an individualized approach to develop and motivate a team, and/or advocacy
-Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adopt new solutions through leveraging existing knowledge, technology, and data tools, including seeking input from team members, partners, and networks, incorporating new experiences to inform perspectives, proficiency in or ability to learn various software solutions and/or data-informed approaches

Full Time: 100% This position is a Madison-based position with most activities performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location (40%-60% in person). Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
