Job Description - Senior Program Manager

at Ford Motor Company in Dover, Delaware, United States

The Team

Reporting to EVDD’s Operations (Ops) Lead, you will be an integral part of the EVDD Ops Team. This team is responsible for driving transformation in the ways the EVDD organization works so that it is better equipped to thrive and be successful in the midst of the biggest change the automotive industry has ever seen: electrification, autonomous driving, and connected vehicles. The EVDD Ops Team is the epicenter for smart change across the ~14,000-person EVDD organization, while also being at the cutting edge of Ford’s most strategic and advanced products.

What you’ll be able to do

In addition to being an effective collaborator and partner to your teammates, you will focus on: assisting change management efforts, helping evolve working norms and associated productivity tooling & systems, and owning critical e2e tasks and projects.

You’ll have…

Strategy & operations experience: minimum 6 years of experience working in business and product operations succeeding in assignments with high degree of complexity, ambiguity and company navigation.

Change-management experience: minimum 5 years of experience driving organizational, operational, and cultural transformations that led to improved outcomes.

A deep-well of experience and perspectives: a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business; or equivalent industry experience at multiple HW-SW technology companies and/or automotive companies.

A love of data-driven decisions: minimum 2 years of experience with data analytics, data science, and/or data-driven root-cause analysis.

Even better, you may have…

Comfort with ambiguity – demonstrated ability to structure an approach to complex problems and drive clarity on solutions.

Ability to effortlessly flex and utilize strategic thinking skills, systems thinking skills, and attention-to-detail.

Skilled at navigating a large, matrixed environment while operating as a team player; adept at building relationships and adapting to a strong culture.

Proven ability to synthesize “the signal from the noise” and apply these insights to key decisions.

Ability to influence above and below leadership level across multiple functions and business units, doing so without invoking the name or title of the leaders you are partnering with.

Ability to self-start with a strategic mindset; can get things done without requiring much direction.

Excellent communication skills; acts as conduit to help others understand what’s important.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we’ve outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

- Immediate medical, dental, and prescription drug coverage

- Flexible family care, parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more

- Vehicle discount program for employees and family members, and management leases
