Summary The Systems Engineer will design, construct, configure, maintain, and support cloud based as well as internal and/or external networks and systems for the Corporate and remote offices to include the Distribution Center, Hangar, Headquarters – East, Merchandising, Kansas City and San Antonio offices as well as remote Teammates and some store environments. Contributes to the development and maintenance of all systems, applications, security and network configurations both on premise and in cloud environments. This position requires the ability to manage a variety of assignments through multitasking and project management. The Teammate in this role will demonstrate a range of tasks from tedious to highly technical with a high level of proficiency and possess exceptional technical communication skills. Through planning, design, and implementation, the Systems Engineer establishes and maintains a foundation for technological growth, improvement, adaptability, cost savings, and return on investment. The position requires being part of an on-call rotation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a mentor and escalation point for Corporate IT System Administrators and Help Desk Analysts.
• Develop and present concepts and plans for future scalability and security of IT operational needs.
• Utilize knowledge of new technology to anticipate business need and provide recommendations.
• Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure available.
• Maintain network equipment, server equipment, and software aligning with best practices and security standards.
• Perform required changes to services and equipment which includes the physical installation and configuration of network and server hardware, telecommunications devices, appliances, and software.
• Develop and implement security procedures on the Corporate network that maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature, and user abuse based on compliance standards.
• Mitigate security risks associated with systems and applications that have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business.
• Collaborates with other IT professionals to ensure high quality deliverables as well as design, implement, and troubleshoot new and existing application, network, and server systems.
• Provides second and third level escalation support.
• Develop, administer, and maintain a growing cloud environment.
• Demonstrate above average to expert level administration and engineering experience in networking, telecommunications, Azure, Powershell, Terraform, PowerBI and SQL.
• Lead technical analysis of additional tool implementations within cloud environments including requirements gathering, process modeling, and gap analysis mitigation.
• Utilize information in device logs to assist with problem isolation, resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures.
• Establish, maintain, and manage user directory and email accounts.
• Develop documentation for installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Buckle systems, servers, services, and applications.
• Establish guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches, and other networking components.
• Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Active Directory, Windows/Linux operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Telecommunications software and hardware, and Azure environments.
• Collaborate with outside vendors on the design and development of approved applications, network. and server requirements.
• Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned. ·

Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities but acts as a mentor and escalation point within the department.


Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Server+, CCNA, MCP/MCSE with focus on Cloud, SQL, Azure, BI are desired with the requirement that a certification be obtained annually based on company technological and business needs.
