Job Description - Service First Outreach Coordinator

Mon – Sat Flex

The Service First Outreach Coordinator will work as a liaison between different associations, organizations , nonprofits agencies , schools, and over all community . This position is responsible to build , plan , develop , organize , and maintain our Service First platform and programs . Building relationships with outside organizations, schools, and other nonprofits agencies to include not only current but new organization initiatives and activities throughout a multistate territory is a priority . The Service First c oordinator will be responsible for assessing the relationship needs for the organization, as well as each of the Service First projects and e vents .    

This position is responsible for developing relations with schools, individuals, and organizations to create alliances by promoting the many benefits of the credit union’s Service First programs. Also, promotes America First Service First platform by demonstrating the value of relationship opportunities. This position will represent the credit union and participates in various civic and community functions to further enhance the image of the America First community outreach service program.  

The Great Good Outreach Coordinator oversees the credit unions volunteer hours and volunteer schedule. They will work close with employees who represent the credit union to support and organize Service First events that will benefit the credit union’s member and communities at large. They will develop and building a Service First platform to support the overall service and Credit Union initiatives.  

Responsible for building connections between schools and credit union to provide support, resources, and volunteers as requested. Works closely with events team, credit union staff and volunteers to schedule and coordinate all aspects of credit union’s service project.  

Works close with several departments and branch managers to schedule, volunteers and offer opportunities that support branch growth and community initiatives. Responsible to create ideas to showcase our community service to be shared on social medica and online.  

This position will be responsible to building a monthly report for senior management and the board that will showcase all the service projects by territory. They will be responsible to insure they credit union is being represented in all our communities.  

Keep credit union management, and staff informed of Service First projects and event activities. Will also be required to manage the credit union’s external community service project requests.  

Works towards providing new opportunities to support other organizations, children, schools, and community at large. Works closely with credit union management to support the credit unions strategic growth plan.  

The Service First Outreach Coordinator will be required to have a thorough and detailed understanding of the Credit Union policies and solutions available for organizations who are looking for community support.  

In addition, the Service First Coordinator will be responsible to have an overall knowledge of the competitive landscape including the organizations that we compare to.  

 

1. Event s Planning & Management Service First Outreach Coordinator

 

  • Responsible for helping set up and organizing service opportunities in our communities.
  • Responsible for taking and distributing foundation board notes as needed to all board members
  • Communicates with board members on upcoming foundation events.
  • Engages and builds relationships with different organizations for partnership/project/
  • Develops annual planning for involvement initiatives and promotes service projects and seminars to an internal/external audience.
  • Responsible for Service First event and staff to ensure event runs effectively and staff is in complete understanding of expectations. 
  • Recommends and suggests solutions to grow community outreach partnership opportunities
  • Expands community outreach efforts over a multistate territory with service projects.
  • Documents events
  • Delivers regular updates to Events Planning & Management manager/ Foundation Director.
  • Represents America First at various civic and community events through approved community outreach opportunities.
  • Communicates timelines for upcoming community outreach opportunities.  
  • Networks with the community at event/sponsorship opportunities.
  • Works with departments and frontline leadership to help support community service projects and requests. 
  • Ensures event activities support marketing objectives. 
  • Explores new event/sponsorship opportunities throughout our multistate territory.
  • Ensures that physical arrangements (set up/take down) are efficiently completed before each community service project.
  • Complete accounts payable actions related to our Service First program.  
  • Maintain calendar of internal as well as third party events.
  • Coordinates existing service projects from concept to completion, ensuring smooth operation, efficiently and generate maximum revenue and exposure.

 

2. Interaction with Others

  • Builds meaningful connections with various community businesses and organizations.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with multiple branches, department managers, Sr. management, and foundation board members.
  • Interacts with a variety of teams and individuals to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Maintains a knowledge base of virtually all aspects of the foundation.
  • Communicates with and makes recommendations to the Events Planning & Management manager. 
  • Oversees credit union participation in credit union community outreach service projects
  • Acts as a liaison between schools and credit union to provide volunteer opportunities to serve.
  • Ensures Events Planning and Management manager is informed of upcoming community service projects and assigned Service First service hours
  • Works with different departments to promote a positive publicity for credit union community service project and give back opportunities.
  • Maintain the public image of the credit union in a professional and courteous manner

 

3. Responsible for related duties as required or assigned

 

  • Stays up to date on computer applications, models, and research methods.
  • Projects and maintains the credit unions professional image externally and
  • Resolves requests, questions, and problems courteously and professionally. Ensures that communications are efficient and effective.   
  • Ensures that community outreach activities create positive member, prospective member, and community responses
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with credit union personnel and with management regarding all service
  • Assists, serves, and informs branches and related departments as required.    
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • Develop and maintain a Service First database that will track and organize all the credit unions service projects and hours.
  • Manges all aspects of upcoming Service First events, including but not limited to staffing, teaching, supervision, and training.

Training/Education :  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree Required. Preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or Organizational Communication, Public Relations, or Teaching.
  • Minimum of 5 years diverse work experience in a Marketing , Sponsorships, Organizational Communication, or

 

Required Knowledge:  

 

  • Complete knowledge of all America First, services, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Must communicate effectively 
  • Understands a wide range of service activities throughout the marketplace.
  • Has high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in networking in many arenas .
  • Comprehends the service needs of potential Partnerships.
  • Understanding of the credit unions expectations on community outreach.
  • Awareness of the competitive landscape.
  • Competent at market research techniques and lead generation.
  • Knowledge of related laws and regulations concerning state requirements for 501C3
  • Know our TRAK program 
  • Know basecamp and how to manage projects within basecamp
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent at public speaking 

 

 

Experience Required:  

 

  • Five plus years in a Teaching, Organizational Communications, Marketing, or related field, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Two plus years in a Public Speaking related field
