This role is categorized as hybrid . This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren - Champion Service three times per week, at minimum.

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

GM CCA's Dealer Service & Warranty Operations (DSWO) is the organization responsible for supporting GM's global dealer network with tools and equipment, technician training, and warranty administration. In addition, this organization is responsible for helping to identify product quality concerns. This role is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement, effective delivery, customer retention and profitability in Service Data Licensing.

GM Customer Care and Aftersales is searching for a Service Information Licensing Liasion . The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of managing the customer relationship, including: administration of license agreements (ensuring new and renewal agreements are timely drafted and negotiated with licensee, and brought to signature), maintaining strong relationships with program licensees, collecting royalties, managing licensee reporting of sales volumes and royalties owed, and coordinating delivery of content pursuant to the license agreement. Desire to provide top-notch customer service is required.

The primary focus is licensing GM’s service and parts intellectual property to achieve CCA’s Service Data Licensing revenue goals and business objectives, while maintaining compliance with all governmental laws and regulations, and ensuring that Service Data Licensing goals and objectives are aligned with those of other CCA business units.

Job Overview:

· Develops and maintains strong relationships with current and potential licensees;

· Coordinates, schedules and manages the development of license agreements with new licensees, and manages timely license agreement renewals with existing licensees. Ensure deadlines are met to prevent unintended expiration of license agreements;

· Interface with GM legal staff to manage licensee-requested redlined edits to agreements;

· Gathers and interprets complex data;

· Handles a variety of non-recurring special assignments;

· Assists in developing licensing strategy (royalty models, etc.);

· Prepares monthly status presentations for CCA leadership;

· Conducts Project Management (including revenue forecasting and budget management);

· Works frequently and cross-functionally with others outside the immediate work group, and others in the industry outside GM;

· Coordinates and manages delivery of GM intellectual property to licensees;

· Manages compliance of licensees to their license agreement;

· Handles other tasks as assigned by CCA leadership.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:

· Ability to read, understand and interpret contracts, and exchange redlines with GM legal staff and licensees;

· Ability to timely manage multiple contracts and tasks simultaneously;

· Above average verbal and written communication skills including the ability to give presentations;

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint

· Knowledge of Independent Automotive Aftermarket;

· High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult;

· Ability to travel domestically.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Understanding of intellectual property licensing practices, regulatory and legal requirements for service and parts information, and Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association standards;

· Experience with Automotive Aftermarket (or similar) intellectual property licensing;

· Knowledge of specific file formats for automotive service and parts;

· Supervisory experience;

· Bachelor’s Degree, JD, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
