This position is for a team oriented, serviced-minded individual who values quality, service, mindfulness and efficiency. The Back of House Lead assists the owner in running a smooth, fast, friendly cafe by facilitating the day to day administrative tasks of a bustling community coffee shop. Responsibilities include staffing and scheduling, proactively managing store inventory, social media management, office organization, distribution of tips, and meeting weekly with the management team to discuss upcoming plans, goals, and general operations. This position also assists in planning, coordinating and hosting community events at Mabel. This position includes front of house responsibilities, leading our team of baristas in creating the in-store experience for Mabel's customers by providing every guest with prompt and friendly service, quality beverages and products, remembering regulars, and maintaining a clean, comfortable store environment.
The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced barista with some administrative experience, who is comfortable and confident in barista training, innovative problem solving, and adapting and streamlining processes. This position will be training other crew members on the fundamental of espresso and drink preparation and latte art. This position has the potential, for the right candidate, as the revenues grow to support it, to become the full time store manager.
Weekend and some evening availability for all crew is a must.
