12 Month Position Details: Opportunity: WSU Tri-Cities Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a federally funded program through the Department of Education, whose purpose is to increase the number of low-income and underrepresented students who graduate from high school and successfully complete post-secondary education. As the Site Manager with the WSU Tri-Cities GEAR Up program, you have the opportunity to meaningful impact on high school students' future through overseeing strategic planning and administration of the program at Ephrata High School , while providing direct support and services to a cohort of approximately 150 - 799 students. You will serve as the university's primary liaison to the Ephrata High School and their communities while implementing GEAR UP goals. Key program components include:
- Tutor training and supervision
- Career exploration
- Post-secondary preparation
Your responsibilities will also include managing operating budgets, supervising temporary/hourly staff, planning, preparing, and leading participation of group activities and workshops, coordinating and communicating with school administrators, teachers, staff, parents, students, colleges, community members, organizations, and businesses; and providing local leadership in program development and evaluation.

This is a full time (100% FTE), overtime eligible temporary position expected to end on
September 29, 2025 . Renewal is dependent on program needs and/or in additional funding is secured to extend employment.
This position works on-site at Ephrata High School in Ephrata, Washington. Monthly Salary : $4,626.00
In accordance with
RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. For additional information, please review

Required Qualifications: - High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional nights and weekends.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in the use of computers, MS Office software programs, and Google workspace.
Preferred Qualifications: - Three (3) years of professional work experience in college admissions, financial aid, advising, and/or recruitment.
- Experience with programs related to student retention and/or student success.
- Demonstrated experience developing strong, collaborative relationship with colleagues, students, parents, and external constituents.
- Developed skills in written and verbal communication including experience with providing group presentations, workshops, or trainings.
- Demonstrated success in leading the work of others.
- Experience managing, tracking, and reporting data.
