Job Description - Sr Customer Service Representative

Job summary
Sr Customer Service Representative Location: Miami, OK Thermo Fisher Scientific
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Communicate with customers and internal support teams via email and telephone regarding a large variety of topics from order placement requests to pricing. • Assess individual customer requirements and direct activities to appropriate departments. • Follow established service quality standards and meet order and inquiry processing time standards. • Use critical thinking and best judgment when required to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. • Engage in and drive process improvement initiatives. • Provide expertise and mentorship to other Customer Care Representatives.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a scientific field is preferred. • Two years of related customer service experience is preferred. • Proven experience working with personal computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Critical soft skills include self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure, integrity, written and oral communication skills, and strong customer orientation. • Demonstrate judgment, tact, and diplomacy in taking care of customers, as well as the ability to handle confidential and/or proprietary information. • Initiative and organization skills are very valuable to ensure quality customer service.
