The Senior People Strategy Partner will play a key role in influencing the culture for individuals and teams in the academic core at the University of Notre Dame. As a key member of the Notre Dame Human Resources' People and Culture team, you will support the University's academic units, including all colleges and schools, focusing on providing strategic guidance and leadership coaching to academic leaders. By offering insights and support, the Senior People Strategy Partner enables leaders to cultivate a culture and talent strategy that aligns with objectives and promotes organizational success. Specific responsibilities incude:

  • Advise academic leadership teams on the formulation and implementation of tailored people strategies to effectively address organizational challenges and enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders to assess, design, and implement structural enhancements within their teams, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and effectiveness. Ensure alignment with academic objectives and facilitate change management processes as needed.
  • Support academic leaders in talent management initiatives, including talent evaluation, development, and succession planning, to nurture a high-performing workforce aligned with academic goals.
  • Work closely with NDHR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to develop and deploy customized solutions based on comprehensive internal data analysis and external market insights, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to academic leaders in managing employee relations matters, providing guidance on conflict resolution, performance management, and fostering a positive work environment conducive to employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with peers across campus to drive the implementation of innovative NDHR initiatives, programs, and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Forge strong relationships and establish collaborative partnerships with colleagues within NDHR and across the University, leveraging synergies and sharing best practices to achieve shared objectives.




Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in, strategic partnering, leadership coaching, and/or organizational development
  • Proven track record of successfully partnering with senior leadership teams to develop and implement people strategies that drive organizational performance and culture transformation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management practices, including talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, and employee development.
