We are currently seeking a System Administration for a long-term contract opportunity in Chesapeake, VA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

System Administrator will perform various cybersecurity functions as well as troubleshoot and repair computer and network problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform ACAS vulnerability scanning and troubleshoot failed scans.
2. Extract Audit logs for retention.
3. Install software patches
4. Install antivirus updates
5. Troubleshoot and repair computers and networks
6. Inspect visitor's laptops prior to use in the facility
7. Perform preventative maintenance on communications systems and networks
8. Perform Preventive Maintenance on communication and facilities equipment
9. Provide coordination and assistance for system installations
10. Be available to provide technical assistance outside of normal working hours

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be able to obtain and retain a SECRET security clearance with a T5 investigation
2. Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving history
3. Must have in-depth knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements
4. Must have in-depth knowledge of computer networks
5. Must have in-depth knowledge of LINUX and Microsoft operating systems
6. Must be familiar with the DoD RMF process
7. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
8. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
9. Knowledge of U.S. Navy CMS program preferred
10. Knowledge of U.S. Navy 3M program preferred

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

1. CompTIA Security+ or equivalent/higher certification to meet DCWF Code 722 Intermediate required
2. One year minimum experience as a Linux, Windows, or VMWare system administrator.
3. High School Diploma or GED required
4. Must have an Active Secret Clearance

Pay is $40.90 per hour plus H&W Contribution of $5.71 per hour PLUS $1.21 per hour up to 2080 per year towards retirement fund.
