Job Summary: The Systems Engineer II supports the functionality and availability of enterprise-wide mission critical University and non-critical systems by performing systems engineering and administration under limited supervision.
Additional Department Summary: This position will have multiple technical responsibilities covering a wide array of expertise related to Athletics’ audio visual systems and event operations. Day-to-day, the position will maintain a variety of technical systems ranging from digital signage and audio systems, to complex video routing equipment. During events, this position will have primary duties in house audio operations, AV systems network operations, and other technical issue troubleshooting. Duties may include planning, implementing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software systems.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree; OR bachelor's degree and two (2) years of system engineering experience; OR associate's degree and four (4) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of system engineering; OR High school diploma or GED and six (6) years of IT experience to include two (2) years of system engineering.
Skills and Knowledge: Video processing and/or IPTV experience is preferred. A working knowledge of large venue audio systems is preferred. AMX, Extron, QSC, QSys, CTS, and BiAmp systems experience preferred, but not required.
