Must possess a state-endorsed educational certificate
Must have a minimum of three years' experience working in a K-8 school
Ability to communicate with a diverse student body, parents, administrators, and other staff in wide range of English proficiency; beneficial but not required
Ability to assist in developing and coordinating resources to provide safe, disciplined learning environment.
Ability to identify resources, models, and best practices for improving student discipline and school climate.
Assists and facilitates school staff in implementing applicable resources and models
Ability to build collaborative relationships with teachers, administrators, other staff, parents, and support leadership teams to develop a student management system that results in positive student behavior and enhances school climate.
Ability to provide staff development on student discipline procedures, policy, and legal requirements.
Ability to facilitate positive behavior support to improve classroom management in order to reduce out of school suspensions.
Ability to integrate support services for all students that will support improvement in student behavior, attendance, and academic achievement.
Design systems and procedures to ensure efficient processing of student discipline complaints and accuracy of data.
Work closely with principals, assistant principals, and teachers to ensure that student behaviors are properly documented.
Compile and analyze District, State, and Federal discipline data, summaries, and trends to assist in developing responsive prevention and intervention strategies.
Must currently be employed in the district.
Knowledge of Social and Emotional Learning and Emotional Learning Competencies & PBSIS
