Job Description - Theology Teacher

Bishop Blanchet High School Theology Teacher Reports to the Principal Start date: August 22, 2024 Compensation Salary Range: $68,796 - $134,483 based on experience and education. Bishop Blanchet is a Catholic, college preparatory high school established by the Archbishop of Seattle. Rooted in Gospel Values, we educate students within a challenging, positive and diverse learning environment. We inspire students to transform the world around them through a lifelong commitment to faith, scholarship and service. Responsibilities:

  • Possess ability to teach all Theology classes offered
  • Collaborate in Professional Learning -Communities and working toward consensus with team members
  • Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards
Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strategize for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students
  • Utilize technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, google suite) to inform instruction
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in specific content area; Master's degree or higher preferred
  • Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area preferred
  • Catechetical certification or ability to obtain Catechetical certification required
  • Practicing Catholic
