What you need to know...

·Hourly Pay $20.91

·Hours and shifts will vary, weekends, and holidays

·3-month temporary assignment

·Location is near downtown Mesa

What you’ll be doing

Under direct supervision you will be responsible for learning how to monitor and operate the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System in the recording and regulating of water distribution and the monitoring and recording of natural gas usage and wastewater flow.

You will be responsible for…

·Responds to incoming utilities emergency and trouble calls.

·Answers questions and responds to complaints regarding the practices and procedures of various City departments.

·Prepares written computer work requests and maintains reports on essential water system and natural gas data.

·Inputs data into a computer to update and maintain computerized meter history files, controls the water system, create graphics, and generate reports.

·Keeping a clean work area.

·Responds to emergencies, and determines appropriate well pumps, booster pumps, and control valves to turn on and off, based upon pressure, flow data and projected usage.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us...

·High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

·Good (6 months – 1 year) full-time employment in at least lone of the following:water supply system, water distribution system, natural gas distribution system, wastewater system electric distribution system, or closely related field.

·Ability to monitor, operate and respond to a ten-channel two-way radio base station.

·Excellent communication skills.

·Experience with data entry.
