Warehouse Cashier (Full Time)

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is a growing statewide company seeking a full-time Cashier for our warehouse in Grand Rapids.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As a Cashier, you process all cash transactions and balance invoices with payments received from our drivers. You greet each driver warmly as you check them in, processing all cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Though you give each driver your full attention while assisting them, you are always aware of what's going on around you. You reconcile all monies collected to invoices delivered, balance all invoices with payments received, reconcile differences resulting from delivery errors, and prepare daily bank deposits. Other duties include but not limited to:

• Answering phone inquiries throughout the day
• Provide excellent service with follow ups
• Tracking missing invoices and scan sheets
• Accurately balance all receipts

Work Schedule

The Cashier is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM until close of business. Occasional weekends may be required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The Cashier position operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration where the noise level can be loud.

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Basic Computer, Math, and Presentation Skills
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and one year of cash-handling experience (preferred)

Additional Requirements:

• Pass pre-employment screenings including a full Background Check, 10-Panel Drug Test, and Physical Evaluation
• Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
• Cooperates with all management and staff of GLWAS.
• Follows all MLCC rules and regulations, as they apply to the position.
• Use alcohol in a responsible manner when related to business activities.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
