Salary: $56,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience

Closing Date: Open Until Filled This is a Full-Time position with the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration. The Bureau of Human Resources and Administration is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Well-Being Coordinator eager to bring well-being opportunities to all state employees and their family. The position includes but is not limited to the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of all statewide government well-being initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and educating employees by creating awareness and providing resources to help them adapt and maintain a well-rounded, healthy lifestyle. There are many facets of well-being and the Well-Being Coordinator will be responsible for putting together a well-rounded well-being campaign which includes working with vendors and outside resources to offer opportunities to employees and their family. Examples of resources include health awareness correspondence (emails, bulletin board posters etc.), educational workshops, health fairs etc. Travel is required to Pierre for training and team meetings with the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration in addition to travel statewide for benefit fairs and as needed to develop working relationships with agencies. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Two years relevant health promotion / wellness or health-related program planning and delivery is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Education, Public Health, Business Administration, or similar fields is preferred. Certified Health Education Specialist and/or Coaching Certification is also preferred. Knowledge of:
  • ROI outcomes;
  • legal and regulatory environment of the health management arena, such as HIPAA and ADA;
  • delivering presentations to small and large groups;
  • event planning, community organizing or campaigning.
Skill to:
  • think critically, creatively, and grasp abstract concepts;
  • operate various Microsoft 365 programs effectively;
  • maintain a high level of organization and time management.
Ability to:
  • communicate effectively;
  • confidently interact with all levels of employees, including senior leaders in State government;
  • analyze, interpret and take action on program reports and metrics;
  • generate ideas, propose, and implement creative solutions with results;
  • maintain multiple projects while meeting everchanging deadlines;
  • problem solve and make decisions independently;
  • demonstrate enthusiasm for health and wellness;
  • operate confidently within online applications and social networking sites.
