AC Field Supervisor

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated AC Field Supervisor to join our team. The AC Field Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of our AC technicians, ensuring the quality and efficiency of AC installations, maintenance, and repair projects. This role requires a strong leader with extensive knowledge in air conditioning systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervision and Leadership:
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of AC technicians in the field.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to technicians based on skill level and job requirements.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and professional development.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Project Coordination:
• Coordinate and schedule AC installation, maintenance, and repair projects to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct site visits to assess job progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and address any concerns.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all AC projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
• Perform quality control inspections and tests to verify the proper installation and functioning of AC systems.
• Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Technical Expertise:
• Provide technical support and expertise to technicians and clients as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex AC issues, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the team remains competitive.
• Inventory and Equipment Management:
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of AC parts, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure technicians have the necessary materials and tools for each job.
• Coordinate the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, technician performance, and equipment usage.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, team performance, and any issues or recommendations.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC technology preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AC installation, maintenance, and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, components, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
