Job Description - Audit Manager, Architecture, Engineering & Construction

ABOUT THE POSITION:
As an Audit Manager, you'll collaborate with a team of seasoned CPAs and industry leaders in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction sector, contributing to your growth as a subject matter expert. In this role, you will take a lead position in all aspects of audit engagements, from initial planning to finalization, while also providing supervision and mentorship to staff, and nurturing client relationships. Your responsibilities will include serving as a liaison between partners, clients, and professional staff, managing multiple auditing and accounting projects concurrently, and overseeing engagement workflow and staffing schedules. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary:
Act as a subject matter expert in the Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industry.
Demonstrate deep technical expertise and establish a reputable presence within the AEC sector.
Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to continuously enhance industry knowledge.
Oversee multiple engagements, resolving legal, regulatory, and accounting issues as they arise.
Supervise and manage client services, including audit strategy preparation, budget setting, staff selection, workload allocation, and financial reporting.
Monitor engagement progress in relation to budgeted time and scheduled completion dates, maintaining regular communication with client management.
Manage the economics of client engagements and foster strong client relationships.
Keep partners informed of significant engagement developments, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
Tax knowledge in the AEC industry is advantageous.
Develop and motivate engagement staff, providing counseling and career guidance. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in accounting required, or equivalent experience and/or relevant academic major, along with CPA certification. Experience:
7+ years of experience as an auditor in a public accounting firm or relevant industry.
Exceptional project management skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication abilities.
Commitment to teamwork and leadership.
Integrity in a professional setting. Compensation:
Competitive annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $180,000 based on experience level. Attributes:
