We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our SPG Mechanical division. In this role you will develop and execute a sales plan for identifying appropriate project opportunities in all applicable service offerings. Other responsibilities include:
Business Development
Manage the sales process from opportunity targeting through booking and transition to operations
Creates vertical market development plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including cooperative selling efforts.
Identifies and participates in trade shows, social media and web conferences.
Creates speaking opportunities at organizations conferences and web platforms
Coordinates with Business Unit Manager to ensure successful execution of projects.
Provides support to the customer with regards to projects financial, contractual and technical issues.
Team Management
Coach and develop sales professionals
Trains, mentors and manages staff in affective tactics to attain team goals
Create performance plans, assess performance and provide performance feedback
Manages the Account Executive and Senior Account Executive to ensure the successful achievement of business goals
What we would like to see in you:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals and estimates required
Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems required.
Ten (10) years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor required.
Five (5) years of experience leading sales teams and closing sales required.
Knowledge of conceptual estimating required.

The pay range for this position is $105,030 - $210,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
