We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our SPG Mechanical division. In this role you will develop and execute a sales plan for identifying appropriate project opportunities in all applicable service offerings. Other responsibilities include:

Business Development

  • Manage the sales process from opportunity targeting through booking and transition to operations

  • Creates vertical market development plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including cooperative selling efforts.

  • Identifies and participates in trade shows, social media and web conferences.

  • Creates speaking opportunities at organizations conferences and web platforms

  • Coordinates with Business Unit Manager to ensure successful execution of projects.

  • Provides support to the customer with regards to projects financial, contractual and technical issues.

Team Management

  • Coach and develop sales professionals

  • Trains, mentors and manages staff in affective tactics to attain team goals

  • Create performance plans, assess performance and provide performance feedback

  • Manages the Account Executive and Senior Account Executive to ensure the successful achievement of business goals

What we would like to see in you:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals and estimates required

  • Knowledge of building infrastructure mechanical and electrical systems required.

  • Ten (10) years of experience with a mechanical or electrical construction contractor required.

  • Five (5) years of experience leading sales teams and closing sales required.

  • Knowledge of conceptual estimating required.

The pay range for this position is $105,030 - $210,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
