The Chief Product Officer will lead the product and data science team to further enhance and optimize the current customer experience and generate consistent, profitable growth for the collector car insurance products. Your team will oversee enhancements/changes to coverage, pricing, marketing, and customer experience to enhance our go-to-market strategy. You will define and refine product strategy to the competitive positioning of the product and prioritize resources to create market leadership. (Hybrid schedule at the Cherry Hill, NJ office)**

  • Develop a new rating structure and updated factors to modernize the current rating plan.
  • Optimize pricing and underwriting strategies to enhance competitiveness and increase profitability within the P&L.
  • Define and distill product strategy and objectives to develop a prioritized product roadmap to allocate product development resources.
  • Represent the business to continuously improve existing product by identifying and prioritizing product changes/enhancements.
  • Direct product development efforts for our collector insurance products. Prioritize marketing and sales/support initiatives to better address needs of our target customers.
  • Knowledgably explore and evaluate between product development alternatives by g athering information from customers, brokers, team members, and competitors.
  • Utilize analytics and audience research to establish insight into product performance and drive ideas, features and product improvements.
  • Develop, establish, manage, and clarify product strategy, roadmap, and deliverables.
  • Perform ongoing market research and analysis of competitor’s products, strategy, pricing, and messaging to evaluate market trends, threats, and opportunities into incorporate into the product roadmap.
  • Own all aspects of the product lifecycle to m aximize the competitiveness, profitability, and growth of your product. Analyze and interpret data to evaluate impacts of new coverages, uncover new opportunities, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage ongoing enhancements and rate adjustments to legacy rating plans.
  • Recruit and develop Product Development team to create new segmented product, rating sequence, and proposed rating plan with actuarially appropriate rating factors. Manage timely filing and approval of rate and forms filing.
  • Strategically expand and improve the Product Development team by leading, recruiting , training, developing, and mentoring your team of analysts, actuaries, and product managers.
  • Collaborate effectively across the organization (e.g., I/T, Marketing, Underwriting, Operations, and other stakeholders) to develop and launch new products, coverages, features, and exclusions. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for content creators, collaborating with copywriters to translate product and industry knowledge into outward-facing materials.
  • Establish scalable processes and product development practices to accelerate continuous improvement.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Experience with insurance products and familiar with potential compliance and regulatory concerns.
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance product management, preferably Auto, leading/managing teams of knowledge workers (e.g., actuaries, data scientists, product managers or analysts).
  • 5+ years of experience working with complex data and analytics, new product introduction or marketing experience.
  • Proven ability to leverage data/analysis/research to develop new product offerings, launch initiatives, and/or engagement campaigns.
  • Advanced analytical modeling skills: demonstrated experience in analyzing multiple, large data sets to develop pricing strategy / recommendations. Actuarial designations (ACAS/FCAS) preferred.
  • Experience building or reviewing predictive models including GLMs.
  • Demonstrable success in product management (e.g., leveraging data or consumer insights to develop new product offerings, engage customers, or improve financial performance).
  • Able to make decisions quickly and efficiently. Has the drive to lead teams to execute on defined vision.
  • Track record of success in product management. (e.g., customer research, cross-functional team management, produce development, and successful product launches).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong aptitude for analyzing competitor’s products, strategy, and messaging. Technical proficiency with large datasets, complex analysis, or product pricing.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge about multiple functional areas (e.g., strategy, product management, business development, product marketing, customer engagement, retention, and customer loyalty).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
