Civil Associate II, Construction

DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Associate to join our team in the Dearborn, MI office. Under the guidance of Engineers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Duties will consist of the following: Responsibilities include:

• Inspection over construction crews' work to ensure compliance with the contract documents including plans and specifications on active construction contracts
• Identifying and informing the project engineer or project supervisor of observed problems
• Working with supervisor to address public and contractor questions
• Making measurements and observations of work being performed to ensure accurate quantities are tracked for completed work
• Electronically documenting pay quantities, material requirements, and contractor staff in a daily work report

Assists with preparation for client and project meetings Attends internal project meetings and participates as necessary Visits project sites, and reports findings to Engineers and/or Project Managers PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's Degree is a plus 2+ years of related experience Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred Familiarity with various CAD and Microsoft Office programs with the potential ability to produce high quality design documents, exhibits, computations, and reports Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to efficiently work independently within a multi-disciplinary team and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $ 67,694 - $106,632. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. BENEFITS
