Target Salary: $80,000 – $100,000

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent will oversee all field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure that all work adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial projects.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and company quality standards.

Safety and Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure all permits, licenses, and inspections are in place and current.
• Comply with Georgia's building codes, regulations, and construction laws.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and records.

Communication and Coordination:

• Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved in the project.
• Provide regular updates on project status, progress, and any changes or challenges encountered.

Budget Management:

• Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Approve and track expenditures, materials, and labor costs.
• Assist in the preparation of project estimates and budgets as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Extensive knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
• Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proven track record of managing multiple subcontractors and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with Georgia's building codes, regulations, and construction laws.
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Valid Georgia General Contractor license preferred.
