We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to work in our Northern New Jersey office located in South Plainfield.

Your Role:

Primary job functions include overseeing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, etc.

Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with and ability to comprehend applicable ASTM/AASHTO standards.
  • Obtain and maintain annual laboratory accreditations. (AMRL/CCRL/AASHTO/ARMY CORE)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain Radiation Safety Officer certification & Laboratory standing.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Previous experience with GeoSystems software or equivalent is a plus.

Primary responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and maintaining laboratory records/inventory
  • Managing laboratory materials throughput.
  • Tracking samples, results, and billing.
  • Training lab staff.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating laboratory and field-testing equipment.
  • Obtaining/maintaining lab accreditation.
  • Assist in field materials testing, inspections, and sample procurement as required.
