In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing departmental work, activities, and ensuring the efficiency and coordination of our production staff. Responsibilities
75% of your time will be spent in field with crews on the jobsites, 25% will be spent in the office completing paperwork and reviewing upcoming and current jobs. 

  • Oversee Landscape and Construction Crew Leaders. 
  • Ensure budgeted production goals are met monthly
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes with the production staff
  • Ensure efficiency, training, and coordination within the department
  • Assist in developing and maintaining department budgets
  • Responsible for oversight of Landscape Small Equipment, Loaders, and ordering of Bulk Materials
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures in the Landscape Division
  • Work with current sub-contractors, coordinating onsite meetings and monitoring job progress and quality of work. 
  • Assist design and sales staff with construction design layouts
  • Provide feedback on estimating to sales team
  • Coordinate with Contract Admin for marking of utilities prior to job start date
  • Analyze and review job cost at the completion of each contract
  • Coordinate with Sales Staff and Contract Administrator to ensure accurate and prompt billing
  • Assist in the implementation of an Employee Training and Safety Program
  • Manage scorecards for Landscape and Construction Foreman
  • Assist in the Personal Performance Evaluations of landscape development staff
  • Assist in interview-hiring process for Landscape Construction Department
  • Perform site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Coordinate service work and callbacks to ensure a great client experience
  • Directly involved in Snow Operations Planning and Operations Management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 or 4-Year Degree in Landscape Construction and Contracting, Landscape Horticulture, or Business Management or minimum of 5 Years of Experience in a similar Mid-management role
  • Certified State OCNT or National Installer (CLP, CLT) a plus
  • State or National Association, School, or Botanical Center membership a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of Landscape/Hardscape Industry
  • Strong language skills, bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Proficient mathematical skills
  • Strong reasoning ability
  • Intermediate personal computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
  • Strong planning and organizing skills
  • Commitment to quality and quantity of work
  • Focus on safety and security
  • Dependable and able to commit to long hours when necessary

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $50,000-$65,000 per year
