Job Description - Critical Facilities Technician

Founded in 2001, TECHnology SITE Planners, Inc. (TechSite), provides engineering and construction management services. TechSite employs engineers and project managers, offers maintenance services across multiple states, and provides full-time facility management personnel for customer locations. With a strong foundation in design-build services and a commitment to customer satisfaction, TechSite is a leader in critical space design. As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating all maintenance services as outlined in the project scope. You will be the primary first responder to maintenance customer emergencies and play a crucial role in managing vendor and customer relations. Responsibilities:
  • Perform and coordinate critical and non-critical maintenance services as directed by the Chief Engineer.
  • Act as the primary first responder to all maintenance customer emergencies when directed by the Chief Engineer.
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on maintenance activities as required.
  • Record and report on electrical systems readings.
  • Coordinate and perform checks on mechanical systems and regularly scheduled maintenance.
  • Manage monitoring systems and provide detailed reports.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance records and repair logs.
  • Implement and maintain safety practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for emergency situations.
  • Ability to write report summaries and respond to customer inquiries with urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of proper safety requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Compliance with Arc Flash Rating when working near low-high voltage circuits.
  • Navigating through data center aisle ways and working in tight areas.
  • Working from elevated platforms, ladders, and lifts.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to all weather conditions, both inside and outside.
  • Proximity to motors, fans, compressors, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Exposure to construction activities and assisting with capital projects.
