The Illinois Department of Agriculture’s Division of Cannabis Regulation is growing and is seeking qualified candidates to ensure the success of this developing area. The Department is tasked with licensing and regulating adult use cultivation centers, cannabis craft growers, cannabis infusers, cannabis transporters, and Community College Vocational Cannabis Pilot Programs. The Division of Cannabis Regulation is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a working supervisor of the Design and Construction Section. The Design & Construction Section Supervisor Acts as the Division of Cannabis Regulation’s expert on architectural design and oversees construction management of licensed cannabis business entities. They will also Plan, assigns, reviews, and approves confidential/proprietary design work submitted by licensed cannabis entities as a result of the Division modification and alteration application process. “The Administration is committed to creating a fair and equitable adult-use cannabis industry in Illinois. IDOA is helping achieve that goal by providing Illinois residents, specifically those who live in communities that were disproportionately impacted by the failed war on drugs, with multiple entry-points to this new industry." Separate bureaus administer programs and services directed at conserving the state's land and water resources; protecting the health and welfare of livestock and companion animals; overseeing state and county fairs; regulating seed, feed and fertilizer products; ensuring the financial stability of grain dealers and wareouses; prmoting Illinois food and agricultural products; and operating the state's horse racing program.
