Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Function)

This position is responsible for ensuring clients compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations associated with pipeline project development, permitting, construction and operations support.

 

Duties

· Annual air permit compliance reporting, preparation, and review of air emissions calculations for permitting, and emissions inventories.

· Review state, federal, and local regulations for compliance tracking.

· Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, such as greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting and common air pollutants (both criteria and hazardous).

· Experience with air emissions inventory, emission stack testing requirements, greenhouse gases, and periodic air permit reports.

· Prepares and submits applications to procure environmental permits, approvals, variances and other authorizations.

· Supports/Advises various departments and organizations concerning company compliance with environmental regulations.

· Coordinates the planning and implementation of the requirements of various agencies, such as the Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act.

· Coordinates the planning and implementation of waste management and remediation activities.

· Serves as liaison to environmental regulatory agencies in support of company functions.

· Develops and maintains necessary documentation related to environmental compliance programs.

· Performs environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations.

· Conducts required environmental training and periodic employee awareness programs.

 

Qualifications

· A bachelors degree in environmental science, engineering, or other related natural resource field or equivalent and four-six years of environmental experience. (Typically, six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelors degree.)

· Advanced knowledge of environmental regulations, practices and standards, and law, construction environmental mitigation methods, procedures, and operational compliance requirements.

· Knowledge of biological resources, air quality regulations, oil spill prevention regulations, waste management or a combination of experience.

· Proven negotiation skills with state and federal regulatory agency personnel.

· Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation, and database computer applications.

· Basic math and writing skills, including spelling and grammar.

· Ability to analyse and judge reports and records.

· Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to negotiate.

· Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Good organization skills.

Valid drivers license and ability to travel to remote locations.

WHAT YOU BRING · Bachelor’s degree in a Textile Science, Apparel, or a related degree · Minimum of 3 years apparel industry experience or 5 years industry experience in lieu of a degree · Technical materials knowledge, including yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, and finishing techniques · Knowledge of knits, woven, ribs and print · Experience partnering with vendor to develop and test a material from inception to production · Strong verbal and written communications skills · Computer skills, including Microsoft office applications and Product Data Management · Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines across multiple seasons · Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen · Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group · Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources · Experience working with performance materials is highly desired Knowledge of industry material trends
