Pay

Responsibilities

  • Serves at the highest level to our external and internal customers.
  • Participates fully in growing the Company personally and professionally by living out our Core Values.
  • Ensures that all job site tasks are completed to the customer’s 100% happiness guarantee.
  • Interfaces with customers on a daily basis; exceeds expectations by delivering “WOW” customer service, including the pre-rapport call and post-job debrief communication.
  • Maintains compliance with the Company’s safety policies and attends all safety meetings as required, takes responsibility and ownership to maintain a safe work environment at all times; notifies the Operations Supervisor of any safety concerns or risks.
  • Interacts professionally with the tribe, customers, supervisors, and others on a daily basis to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with cell phone and/or tablet in a timely manner with supervisors and other tribe members to receive additional instructions and changes in job information.
  • Shows initiative and maintains a can-do attitude with an “Of Course!” response, identifies and looks for ways to find solutions to challenges.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses service and repair work needed for higher level jobs and presents those options to the customer.
  • Educates customers about proper maintenance and prevention for septic tanks.
  • Operates and maintains a variety of equipment, including excavators, vacuum trucks, skid steers, backhoes, pressure washers, hydro-jet, and tractors.
  • Uses hydro-jet and power washers to clean septic tanks.
  • Dig trenches and locate the leach line, septic tank, and/or distribution box.
  • Cuts damaged portions of a sewer line out of the main tank and replaces that individual section.
  • Ensures the new or repaired septic tank is working optimally before leaving the work site.
  • Communicate with the Operations Supervisor while on job sites to provide updates about what type of tools, supplies, and additional labor are needed.
  • Restocks and replenishes the Company trucks at the end of the day with the tools, materials, and equipment according to the items and quantities provided on the inventory checklist.
  • Conducts pre and post-trip inspections on Company vehicles, including but not limited to checking the tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, and reports any safety issues to ensure repair costs are kept at a minimum.
  • Completes routine inspections on existing vehicles, equipment, and machinery to ensure reliability and performance; identifies and informs supervisor if the equipment is not working.
  • Maintains accurate records on all maintenance repair and service activity; completes jobs and invoices
    customers through Service Titan software.
  • Collects payment from the customer upon completion of each job.
  • Maintains and efficiently uses tools, products, and supplies to be prepared and “Set Up for Success,” keeping in mind the value and investment of those items.
  • Monitors and maintains an inventory of replacement parts, products, and equipment; informs the Operations Supervisor when parts need to be ordered.
  • Completes routine inspections on equipment and machinery to ensure reliability and performance; identifies and informs supervisor if the equipment is not working.
  • Completes and reviews a PPE Hazard Assessment and Analysis prior to every job scheduled.
  • Maintains the overall appearance, cleanliness, and organization of Company uniforms, trucks, tools, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe job site.
  • Performs assigned excavation job duties as an Operator or Installer based on the needs of the job.
  • Ensures that all targets for scorecards and KPIs are met and/or exceeded.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions while working indoors and/or outdoors; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment. Due to the risk of electrical hazards while installing or servicing, additional personal protective equipment and procedures may need to be followed. Individuals are required to wear hard hats safety glasses and other personal protective equipment as dictated by the Hazard Assessment and Analysis. Due to exposure to machinery and electrical currents, employees are required to wear personal protective equipment. During warmer months, the required personal protective equipment may cause the employee to be very warm while working. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment.

  • Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in the construction industry, excavation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of septic systems or drain lines and customer interfacing.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to management and peers. 
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, customers, staff, vendors, etc. 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals, plans, schematics, diagrams, and maps as related to the assigned service work being completed.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and be able to operate a tablet for scheduling purposes. 
  • Experience working with Service Titan preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule for on call and emergency jobs that may include Saturday rotations, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to be on your feet up to 80% of the time.
  • Ability to frequently move within the shop or job site to access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items for completing work orders.
  • Knowledgeable digging trenches and operating equipment and tools to replace damaged sections of sewer lines.
  • Ability to use hand tools extensively to complete work orders.
  • Obtain knowledge to detect mechanical issues from short distances to determine appropriate action.
  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and move pump equipment up to 50 pounds, including lifting heavy lids on pump trucks and grease traps.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be willing to complete background check and drug test upon hire.
