Join our Construction Division's Sales and Design Team as a Landscape Design Estimator, a key role that drives our sales objectives and ensures the excellence of our design outputs. This dynamic position manages the design lifecycle from inception to completion, handling construction documents. Reporting directly to the Construction Operations Manager, you will ensure a seamless integration of design excellence and sales effectiveness within the division.
Responsibilities
- Attain the gross profit target according to the budget.
- Oversee the creation and improvement of estimating templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Design projects that embody our brand, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality.
- Guarantee timely completion of designs and proposals.
- Prepare construction documents and obtain necessary permits.
- Produce comprehensive hand-off packages for production, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to production.
- Prepare client presentations including design drafts, 3D graphic models, and building material options.
- Manage and organize construction files, photos, plans, and proposals for easy retrieval.
- Lead by example, understanding the business philosophy and influencing others towards the team's goals.
- Maintain and nurture client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Landscape Architecture or a related field is preferred.
- Associate Degree or Technical Certification in construction, design, sales, landscape architecture or a related field may be acceptable, particularly if coupled with substantial relevant experience.
- 2+ years of Landscape Architect experience in the landscape/construction industry is preferred.
- Solid understanding of the construction and design industry- Carpentry, Masonry, Concrete, Landscape Installations.
- Experience in coordinating between different teams or departments.
- Profound knowledge of horticulture, including the ability to identify various plant species and understand the underlying processes involved in installing designs.
- Portfolio of previous Landscape Design work preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in industry-relevant software, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and DynaScape.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation
Base Salary: $65,000-$75,000. After training, this role would move into more of a sales focused role with a commission plan.
