Job Description - Lead Analyst, Data & Analytics

As the Lead Analyst, Data & Analytics you will be part of the Data Governance Platforms tower and will be expected to partner closely with Enterprise Data and Information Architecture (EDIA) architects and Business Data Governance (BDG) leads, MDM leads, as well as other members of the Data and Analytics organization, such as Data Engineers and Data Scientists, to coordinate with project-level business, data, and technology stakeholders and help govern master data across enterprise systems and data models.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing analysis and end to end Governance support of enterprise legacy and target data governance and MDM systems. You will also assist in the evaluation of new data-management enabling technologies and other project or program-level operational activities.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate cross functionally within IT and with the Business Data Governance and MDM teams and stakeholders, to ensure Governance policies, standards and best practices are being enforced.
  • Bring together key stakeholders and teams when analyzing changes proposed to data models and systems, ensuring governance, and facilitating an E2E impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with EDIA and BDG teams to govern metadata, align on terms and business glossaries and assist with writing data quality rules and building an E2E data flow within the data governance platform.
  • Assist with data discovery, data analysis and operational activities in support of IT portfolio project work.
  • Support alignment to the data governance and architecture operating model, across all projects
  • Understand where enterprise master data and sensitive type data (e.g. PII, PHI) is stored, how it is collected, processed, and used, and how it flows across the various business processes and systems.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end data models, metadata, data and functionality of enterprise legacy and target Data Governance and MDM platforms.
  • Monitor emerging industry standards as well as external and internal regulatory requirements and compliance guidelines (e.g. data retention and audit requirements) to determine impact on enterprise data & information architectures.
  • Support the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access, and governance.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or computer engineering required, or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience working with modern data, data governance and MDM platforms (SAP MDG) – deep understanding of metadata management, master data management, trust and survivorship, data quality highly preferred.
  • Data Governance and/or data management certifications highly preferred.
  • Exposure to modern data tools like Global IDs, Collibra, Alteryx, One Trust, etc. is preferred.
  • Exposure to the design and construction of information architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative, and analytic systems preferred.
  • Experience partnering with Data Privacy, Information Governance/Records Retention, Information Security teams and relevant tools (i.e. OneTrust, Archer, etc.) preferred.
  • Exposure and understanding working with any of the following, is preferred:
    • Data architecture concepts and data management
    • Master data management, data governance and stewardship, data quality
    • Enterprise Collaboration tools
    • Middleware technologies, API Governance
    • BI Reporting and Visualization technologies like PowerBI
    • MS Visio, MS Power Apps, and MS Azure suite of tools
  • Exposure to various information modeling techniques, such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, or create/read/update/delete matrices, preferred.
