Machinist Trainee

Description:

Machinist Trainee

-will be taught how to set up and operate CNC Machines, manual mills, manual lathes in order to produce precision parts in a timely manner.

-Will be working with trainer step by step on machine

-Teach them, show them, then show me

Job Duties:

-Position and Fasten work pieces

-Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material onto machine

-Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used

-Machine parts to specifications

-Set up, Adjust, and Operate all of basic machine tools

-Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and gauges

-Read and Understand gauging sheets.

-Read and interpret blueprints and listen to machine and tooling to ensure running properly

-go through on boarding system (5S program, hazard assessment, log in and out of jobs, safety, data sheet system)

-proactive safe lifting practice and how to use the hoist

-required to take a lot notes to refer back to them
