Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer

Plumbing Engineer / Head of a Small Mechanical Department Description: Actalent is looking for a Plumbing Engineer / Mechanical Engineer with a PE license to head a small Mechanical Department at an A&E firm in Akron. Responsibilities Include:

• Develops detailed plumbing system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects, considering water supply, drainage, and sewage disposal
• Ensures all plumbing designs and installations adhere to local, state, and national plumbing codes and regulations
• Prepares accurate cost estimates for plumbing materials and labor required for projects
• Stays updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to recommend and implement innovative plumbing solutions
• Manages plumbing projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery
• Conducts inspections and quality checks to verify the integrity and functionality of plumbing installations
• Troubleshoots and resolves plumbing system issues during construction and after project completion
• Maintains accurate records, including design drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Collaborates with other engineering disciplines and provides technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• P.E. License required
• Working knowledge of Revit
• Must provide leadership and head the mechanical department
