What’s a typical day as an Assistant Project Manager? You’ll be: • Issuing requests for information (RFI’s) to clients and tracking through completion, close out, and impact to scope. • Maintaining shipping and project schedules. • Writing purchase orders and subcontracts to vendors, ensuring compliance with requirements. • Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors within and beyond our scope of work. • Preparing and issuing Change Order Request pricing, including impacts and presentation to clients. • Reviewing design drawing revisions for scope changes. • Representing the team in jobsite meetings, interacting with clients, designers, and vendors. • Coordinating construction drawing/modeling and submitting for compliance review. • Communicating internally to ensure collaboration results in execution for our partners, both internal and external. • Working with onsite subcontractors to identify and resolve field issues. • Preparing and managing shop orders. • Reviewing and approving invoices and, under the guidance of senior project managers, preparing monthly billings and SOV. • Adhering to behavioral and conduct standards. • Adhering to safety protocols. • Performing all other duties as assigned. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: • Have a minimum 2-year associate’s degree (preferred). • Possess proficiency with Bluebeam, PDF’s, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word, as well as common computer skills. • Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing. • Have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields (preferred). • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and customer satisfaction skills. • Are able to multitask effectively. • Show strong self-initiative. • Maintain integrity in communication and interaction with clients and vendors. • Have the aptitude to review drawings, discern problems, and articulate questions and notes to resolve discrepancies and non-compliance. • Possess financial ability to review costs, commitments against budgets, notice variations, research variations, and communicate with management. • Are reliable and dependable. • Are goal-oriented. • Can work well as part of a team.
