Summary

The Manager Facilities Planning supervises the team responsible for Facilities planning functions. Provides leadership and direction in the execution of Facilities master planning, as well as site, project, and space planning projects. Validates projects are planned timely and consistently, providing effective, economical solutions, in the best interest of SRP. Ensures effective interaction between internal client, various Facilities teams, and third-party consultants.

What You'll Do

  • Supervises employees responsible for Facilities planning efforts. Determines roles and responsibilities, schedules, workloads and prioritization of projects for the Planning team members.
  • Guides development of the Facilities Betterments Roadmap and SRP’s Hybrid Workplace. Partners with Finance and Analytics team to ensure alignment with financial plans.
  • Manages development and implementation of new planning related processes and procedures, in collaboration with other Facilities leaders.
  • Oversees planning efforts to ensure compliance with corporate and departmental objectives, standards, specifications, and requirements to ensure that projects are planned consistently within SRP.
  • Ensures appropriate internal and external subject matter experts are consulted in programming, planning and design phases, when necessary.
  • Validates projects are planned timely and consistently, providing effective, economical solutions, in the best interest of SRP.
  • Provides technical and procedural guidance, along with constructive feedback and mentorship to the team.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with peers and business partners to ensure compliance with budget and schedules for projects.
  • Engages in contracts with third party consultants to support planning efforts, when needed.

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Knowledge of building and ADA codes is preferred.
  • Licensed or certified as Architect (NCARB) or Interior Designer (NCIDQ) is preferred.

Experience

Minimum of eight years cumulative and progressive experience in commercial facilities design and construction including architectural materials and finishes, FFE (furniture, fixtures and equipment) specification and installation

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
