The Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) is a key strategic military installation located in Orange County. The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the general sustainment and improvement of the installation that allows the California Army Reserve National Guard (CA ARNG) and its tenants to train, prepare, and response to local, state, and national requirements. This position is in a key leadership position, performing administrative and supervisory responsibilities in the planning, organizing, staffing, and operational activities within the Operations and Maintenance Division. Emphasis of work is on the maintenance and repair of buildings, mechanical and power equipment systems, test apparatus, and other minor construction projects. The incumbent works under the general direction of the Chief of Plant Operations II (CPO II) and the Director. Exercises direct supervision over section leads, skilled, and maintenance personnel.
