Job Description



Our AECOM office in Wilmington, DE is seeking a  Survey Technician  as part of our Transportation/Civil Engineering Department of AECOM - Digital Practice and Technology Team to work on a variety of sites across the US.

The person in this role:

Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities, including collecting data and creating reports. Clients include U.S. federal government, state and local government agencies, Fortune 500 companies and other multinational corporations. 

Duties may differ depending on the specialty area.

Activities may include setting up and operating equipment; inspecting equipment; maintaining project documentation. 

Relies on general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish moderate goals.

Works under general supervision of the Survey Party Chief and Survey Manager.

Travels up to 70% on a regular basis to various worksites around the US.

Qualifications



Minimum requirements:  

High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education 

Valid driver's license, and as a condition of employment must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

Qualifications

:

Willingness to Travel up to 70% to perform site surveys in various locations around the US

Ability to read and understand survey notes, sketches, maps, deeds, as-builts, construction plans and drawings and records 

Ability to use appropriate survey equipment, conventional, GPS/GNSS and or laser scanning, to efficiently and accurately perform wide range of field survey procedures 

Ability to take survey field notes, sketches and other written records on a daily basis 

Ability to perform QA/QC to verify that the data complies with the project requirements 

Bachelor's or Associate's degrees in a related field preferred

Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Delaware locations only) will be based on individual education,

qualifications

, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hour.
