The Utah Women & Leadership Project (UWLP) is hiring a new addition to the team in the form of an Impact Manager (Program Coordinator III) who will expand the awareness and impact of the UWLP and “A Bolder Way Forward.” This includes setting goals, implementing strategy, developing and maintaining relationships around the state, tracking outcomes, and sharing progress.

  • Focus on societal change efforts and initiatives related to women and girls.
  • Work with the UWLP Founding Director to liaise with A Bolder Way Forward leaders, affiliates, participants, and working groups.
  • Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships and partnerships with a wide portfolio of community stakeholders around the state.
  • Identify potential stakeholders and engage in tailored one-on-one meetings.
  • Work with UWLP colleagues, partners, collaborators, and other stakeholders to develop tactical plans, measurable goals, and sustainable solutions to our state’s most pressing challenges.
  • Utilize data and evidence-based practices to influence decision making and develop program initiatives.
  • Work with the UWLP Team to innovatively share data in ways that tell stories, illustrate outcomes, and help audiences understand the implications and next steps.
  • Attend select gatherings, representing the UWLP to broaden our reach and strengthen our visibility as a trusted, knowledgeable community partner and advocate.
  • In conjunction with the UWLP Communications Manager, share progress internally and externally on goals, strategies, and outcomes.
  • Support efforts to secure funding for strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Manage projects with a high level of timeliness and efficiency.
  • Supervise student employees, volunteers, and working groups.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in change management, organizational behavior, business, social science, women’s studies, or other related field; and two or more years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Established connections within Utah.
  • Experience in change management, societal change, or organization development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in change management, organizational behavior, business, social science, women’s studies, or other related field
  • Deep network of individual and organizational connections within Utah.
  • Knowledge of and involvement in women’s efforts and groups in Utah.
  • Knowledge of research around women’s challenges in Utah and beyond.
  • Work remotely along the Wasatch Front with ability to travel around the state, as needed.

  • Ability to manage high stakes relationships with a diverse group of volunteers and partners and engage constructively with the other members of the UWLP team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to handle and thrive with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Motivated when working in contexts with evolving initiatives, programs, and opportunities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Focuses on results – Meets qualitative and quantitative goals in a thoughtful and timely manner.
  • Embraces diversity and inclusion – Creates an atmosphere that respects and embraces engagement of all people, ideas and backgrounds and aligns with the UWLP’s values.
  • Engages in learning – Able and willing to learn new skills and knowledge and accept new challenges.
