Structural Engineer in Training

Structural Engineer in Training Responsibilities:

• Provides support for engineering designs and calculations for residential and other structures
• Completes project designs within specified budget and timeframe
• Drafts structural plans, components, callouts, and details using AutoCAD and other software (e.g., Bluebeam)
• Prepares engineering calculations, estimates, and minor designs for residential structures
• Generates quotes and bids to assist senior engineers in client interactions
• Ensures designs comply with relevant company and client quality requirements, including IRC and IBC code compliance

Structural Engineer in Training Requirements:

• Proficient in structural engineering concepts and building component design
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Collaborative and professional communication with clients and colleagues
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D (preferred, not required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Capability to interpret building and site plans
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil (or related) Engineering or currently enrolled in a Civil (or related) Engineering bachelor’s degree program
