Tax Accounting Associate

Tax Accounting Associate position available in our organization. We are looking for a highly organized individual with tax accounting experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely submission of all tax forms, including individual and business returns.

* Office is based in Flint, MI. Open to Hybrid/ Remote for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file both individual and business tax returns for various clients.
• Work with clients to reply to requests from the IRS and other government agencies.
• Provide advice to clients on available tax credits and deductions.
• Research tax legislation and changes to ensure tax filing is accurate.
• Answer client inquiries regarding tax filing procedures and other tax matters.
• Assist with audits and analyses of financial records.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of tax accounting experience.
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Industry experience with: Auto, Construction, Government, Healthcare, Not-for-profit, School Districts HIGHLY preferred
• Experience with Tax forms 1041 (trust & estates), 990 (not-for-profit) OR 1120S (s-corps).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
