Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor multiple tax preparers, ensuring the team effectively supports clients in managing their tax responsibilities.
- Client Interaction: Work closely with internal and external clients to develop and implement sustainable tax strategies, enhancing internal controls and processes, and managing tax risks.
- Tax Return Management: Oversee the preparation, management, and quality control of all client tax returns, including corporate, partnership, individual, trusts, and estates.
- Compliance: Ensure the company's tax policies and internal control procedures comply with local, state, and federal tax codes.
- Review and Approval: Conduct technical reviews of complex tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Client Engagement: Dedicate 20-40% of your time to direct client interactions, addressing questions, planning, and consulting.
- Tax Planning and Advisory: Provide exceptional tax planning and advisory services to clients, fostering new and existing client relationships and demonstrating an in-depth understanding of their businesses.
