Utility Foreman

A prominent heavy civil construction company specializing in large-scale infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and utility installations is growing. They are currently seeking a skilled Utility Foreman to oversee and manage utility installation projects on our construction sites. They are looking for an experienced Utility Foreman to supervise and coordinate the installation of utilities such as water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utility construction and a strong understanding of relevant regulations and safety standards. This role involves managing crews, ensuring project specifications are met, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate the activities of utility installation crews.
* Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installation of utilities.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.
* Schedule and coordinate work with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
* Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
* Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
* Ensure all equipment and materials are used efficiently and maintained in good working condition.
* Coordinate with local authorities and utility companies to ensure proper permits and approvals are in place. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility construction, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of utility installation methods, materials, and equipment.
* Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to utility construction.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physical tasks.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: * Additional certifications in utility construction or safety.
* Experience with large-scale heavy civil construction projects.
