Habitat for Humanity Portland Region serves Multnomah County, east Washington County, and northern Clackamas County and has the ability to reach out to families one step away from homelessness. Habitat sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. We welcome people from all walks of life to partner with our program to serve families in need with generosity, humility, and love. We are looking for a volunteer to help at our annual fundraiser, the HopeBuilder Lunch. This is a one-time event, but if you are interested in continuing to volunteer with us as a photographer, that can be a possibility, too! Event HopeBuilder Lunch Date Wednesday, April 24th Time 10 30am to about 1 30pm Location 777 Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Portland, OR, 97232 General Volunteer Photographer Responsibilities We are looking for experienced photographers to shoot for Habitat for Humanity Portland Region. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while supporting the mission of Habitat. Volunteer photographers are needed to capture our dedicated volunteers, homeowners, and staff at the constructions sites, events, and ReStores. Depending on the assignment, the volunteer position will be working directly with the Volunteer Programs Team and members of the Communications Department. What Is Required

• Great event photography skills with the ability to take photos in various light settings.
• Comfortable communication skills to work with homeowners, volunteers, and staff.
• Own your own camera and photography equipment/software.
• Ability to submit photos in a timely manner following an assignment.
  

Reminder This is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity. General Position Details (if you want to continue volunteering beyond this event) Length of commitment We are hoping to secure ongoing volunteers with a commitment of 3 months to start. Assignment hours This is not a time-intensive position. We can work with your schedule. Location Onsite assignments can include construction sites, ReStores, our offices, homeowners' homes, and various event locations.
