The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the relationship with assigned accounts. Acts as direct contact with external companies which provide services to our clients using our systems, processes, policies and procedures. Works with internal teams and with external contacts including representatives from potential and existing employers/clients, brokerage firms/consultants and with members.
Accountabilities
1. Responsible for the overall client relationship and development of sales and renewals for assigned book of business.
2. Executes new business and renewal implementations.
3. Conducts group administrative meetings, educating customer regarding Community Care Health benefits, products, policies, procedures, and value added services.
4. Identifies and pursues opportunities to up-sell ancillary products.
5. Drives customer satisfaction by monitoring accounts; evaluating sales; sales support; service and technical support operations; building rapport and relationship with accounts; identifying and resolving issues.
6. Conducts mid-year review identifying specialty product growth opportunities, wellness engagement and issue resolution.
7. Achieves target goals for renewals, ancillary sales, and profitability.
8. Stays up to date on healthcare trends and proactively communicates/presents information both internally and externally.
9. Assists high profile members, when needed.
10. Interacts with customer service, claims, and eligibility departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
11. Attends health fairs, open enrollments, and other client events.
12. Maintains client records and benefit documents.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
• 3 years of insurance, sales, account management, or related experience required
• Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships required
Licenses and Certifications
• DL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System required
• CAAHBA - Valid California Department of Insurance Accident and Health Brokers/Agent License preferred
• CALIFEA - Valid California Department of Insurance Life-Only Agent License preferred
• Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
