The $700bn CLO Market is well established with over $130bn of new issuance forecasted this year alone on top of another $200bn+ of refinancing and resets. The product attracts a global Investor base across Banks, Insurance Companies, Asset/Money Managers, Pension Funds, Hedge Funds and Institutional Investors with a deep list of CLO Issuers.
BNP Paribas’ CLO platform was set up in 2012 and in 2024 BNP ranked top-5 Arranger. The business’ goal is to achieve a consistent top-5 ranking over the next couple of years and top 3 after that whilst maintaining Best European CLO Arranger in the US.
BNP Paribas’ Syndicate Desk supports a global platform that is responsible for marketing and distributing all primary fixed income transactions. The Syndicate Desk has three product verticals: Asset Finance & Securitization (which includes CLOs), High Grade Finance and Leveraged Finance. The desk acts as an important contact point between the private (Banking, Origination) and public markets (Investors, Sales, Trading, and Research).
The Syndicate Desk is looking for a AFS (CLO) Syndicate Analyst / Associate to support the team and its daily operations. The position demands strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Candidates are measured on the following four performance drivers, which will dictate how individual impact is considered on the Americas platform:
The successful Analyst or Associate candidate will report directly to the Head of US CLO Syndicate and will be an important addition to facilitate the ongoing growth of the franchise. The skills / responsibilities required for such a candidate are outlined below:
Bachelors degree
Fluency in English
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
High attention to detail
Fluency with Excel; VBA, database and other programming skills are a plus
Ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
Ability to work flexibly in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Ability to use IntexCalc
2-3 years of experience of Sell-Side CLO Structuring/Syndication/Sales
CFTC Swap Dealer Associated Person (if yes, NFA Swaps Proficiency Program is required):
The expected starting salary for this position is $105,000 - 110,000 for an Analyst annually and 150,000 - 200,000 for an Associate. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
