The Assistant Director, Development Services supervises the daily workflow related to all online gifts, processing complex or sensitive gifts from Luminate and in the fundraising database, managing membership rosters, maintaining data integrity, maintenance, and clean up.
Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

• Opens and sorts the mail daily. Reviews all gifts received and groups them based on type and complexity. Distributes the gifts to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
• Efficiently processes complex gifts, including online gifts, recurring gifts, and other types of contributions. Responsible for researching returned checks, rejected credit cards, and discrepancies with deposits. Serves as one of the liaisons with contracted bank.
• Processes gift lists from Facebook and Event. Gives using Omatic software.
• Performs Luminate and fundraising database maintenance and clean-up to ensure data integrity. Maintains membership records for our Auxilians and Circle of Care.
• Responsible for preparation, verification, and documentation of cash gifts in accordance with audit guidelines for separation of duties.
• Manages Matching Gift program. Responsible for researching qualification of the match by reading each organization’s eligibility requirements, establishing, and maintaining working credentials with each organization’s portal, pulling donor reports, verifying receipt of original donation, and attesting to the acceptance of goods or services to meet IRS guidelines.
• Works at all Foundation sponsored events requiring financial and registration support and others as requested.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required if possesses relevant work experience. Skills:
• Accuracy and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a timely manner to meet established deadlines, required.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain working relationships with a variety of people and personalities, required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reading comprehension skills, required.
• Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information, and make ethical decisions, required.
• Demonstrated personal initiative and committed to on-going education and personal development, required. Experience:
• 3 years working in a fundraising environment, required.
• 2 years of advanced Raiser’s Edge experience, required.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Word required.
