Job Description - Booking Travel Associate

As a Booking Travel Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their travel needs. This includes researching and booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel-related services, as well as providing information about destinations, travel restrictions, and travel insurance options. You will work closely with clients to understand their preferences and budget constraints to create personalized travel itineraries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate with clients via phone, email, or in-person to understand their travel requirements.
  2. Research and recommend travel options based on clients' preferences, budget, and availability.
  3. Book flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel services using booking systems or online platforms.
  4. Provide information about travel destinations, including local attractions, transportation options, and cultural norms.
  5. Assist clients with visa applications, travel insurance, and other travel-related documentation.
  6. Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other travel providers to ensure seamless travel experiences for clients.
  7. Keep up to date with travel industry trends, airline policies, and travel restrictions.
  8. Handle any issues or changes to travel plans, including cancellations, rebooking, and refunds.
  9. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving any travel-related issues promptly.
  10. Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and client communications.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the travel industry.
  • Proficiency in using booking systems, online travel platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of travel regulations, visa requirements, and travel insurance options.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate client needs and time zone differences.
  • The job may involve sitting for extended periods and using a computer and phone extensively.
  • Some travel may be required for training or attending industry events.
