Chief Engineer

Overview:

• The Chief engineer will take charge of an entire engineering department, leading a team as they complete various projects. Chief engineer will work alongside other engineers and technicians, approving designs, calculating costs, negotiating contracts, and executing plans safely and efficiently.

Job Descriptions:

• Communicating project goals and company objectives to other engineers and team members
• Responsible for the leadership of design, development, and implementation of multiple platforms, peripherals, and applications using a range of applicable technologies software engineering methodologies.
• Applies strong analytical problem solving for complex issues.
• Effectively leads interactions with key stakeholders to drive the design, implementation, integration, and deployment of capabilities.
• Serves as an expert and assists lower-grade personnel and provides technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Review, assist and mentor lower-grade employee's work for quality, accuracy of work.
• Applies technical experience and leadership skills throughout all phases of acquisition.
• Effectively manages and leads cross-functional teams, addressing complex programs, issues, and problems.
• Remains abreast of all applicable technical advancements and participates in technical advising with key stakeholders.
• Develops approaches to solve analytical problems and documents methodologies.
• Submits suggestions for new opportunities and reports user/customer problems.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• BS (in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or similar field.)
• 7-10 years of technical experience
